Privacy policy

Our privacy policy follows the General Data Protection Regulation (European Parliament Regulation 2016/679).

Institute of Physics of Materials (IPM) is a public non-profit research institution that is a part of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The institutional GDPR policy is available at www.ipm.cz. The following privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?

IPM collects the following data:

  • personal identification: name, address, e-mail address, dietary restrictions (e. g. conference dinner);
  • abstract incl. choice of oral/poster presentation and the preferred topic.

How do we collect your data?

We collect data and process them when you:

  • pre-register for receiving further conference information (name and e-mail only);
  • complete a full registration for attending the conference (see the preceding paragraph).

How will we use your data?

IPM collects your data so that we can:

  • arrange your participation on the conference Creep 2027,
  • process your payments (participation fee),
  • prepare a book of abstract including your contribution,
  • send you e-mails regarding the preparation of the conference,
  • do a peer-review of your paper in a selected journal (optional).

You agree that IPM will share your specific data with our partner companies so that they may provide their services. This is limited to the following partners:

  • JRWN s.r.o. (web and databases);
  • CSOB Bank, a.s. (payments – wire transfer and card).

Note that IPM does not arrange accommodation for the participants and their accompanying persons, unless otherwise agreed.

How do we store your data?

IPM securely stores your data in the local data repository at the address Žižkova 513/22, 61600 Brno, Czechia. Our institute will keep your personal data for 1 year after the end of the conference. Once this time period has expired, we will irrecoverably delete your data from our system.

IPM does not share your personal data with any company that is not directly commissioned to take part in the organization of the conference (processing of payments, venue, catering, social activities, web). You agree that your name, affiliation and e-mail address will be shared with the organizer of the next CREEP conference. You have the right to withdraw your name from the mailing list by clicking on the link Unsubscribe in the e-mail.

What are your data protection rights?

IPM would like to make sure that you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request IPM for copies of your personal data. Communication by surface mail is subject to standard mailing and processing fees.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that IPM corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request IPM to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that IPM erases your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that IPM restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to IPM's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that IPM transfers the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. Cookies

Cookies are files located in your web browser storage used for tracking the web site visitors and manage log-in sessions on the web site.
